visual happies

today has been decidedly quiet. i'm not sure if that's because yesterday was such a whirlwind or what but wow. quiet.

there are so many things that visually inspire me. i love seeing gorgeous craft space - it is one of my favorite things to look at because it tells such a story about an artist. i want my space to say something about me -- and it's still a work in progress, as am i. but this space? just like the alicia paulson stuff i shared before, this space makes me squee with glee. seriously.

the color! it makes me so very happy to see bright colors mixed with beautiful pastels. it's a delicate balance that i really want to eventually achieve in my own space.

here's a look at amy butler's studio and while it's not awash with bright colors, it still makes me happy!

i think i'll try and make it a regular thing to share beautiful craft spaces with you guys. interested?

I GOT IT! i can't even wrap my little mushed up brain around it. the news is official as of this morning. i am on the design team at Scrap In Style TV!!! I - ME - HEATHER - am a FASHIONISTA! holy crap, y'all.

okay, so i know that this is actually about elle getting engaged but it's what has been running through my head ALL MORNING. hahaha! LOOKIT.



i am beyond stupidly giddy today. seriously. you'd want to slap me if you could see me. BUT I AM OVER THE MOON! i am honored and thrilled and can't wait to get started on this amazing journey.

she's crafty

okay, so i'm a supah nerd and this story probably sounds 10x cooler to me than to anyone else, but i'm gonna tell it anyway.

my lovely and talented friend rebecca (who for serious need to get a dang blog already) was going to scrapbowl last weekend to take a class with the also lovely and talented kristina contes.

we kept talking about how it was gonna be so cool to meet kc and what would she say to her and stuff. i told her she needed to quote some beastie boys lyrics all random like! i knew she totally wouldn't so i emailed kc and told her to quote them at bex instead. i thought it would be funneh!

SO, i guess they end up chatting about what a nutjobber i am and then a few days later, bex sends me a little package in the mail with the photo + note from this lo inside:



yay! i puffy heart kc even more than before now. the title, for those who don't know it, is a beastie boys song. WHEE! mad props to bex for the houndstooth ribbon on there, too.

oh, and erin and angie? (angie also needs a freaking blog) that is the button that says "private member" on it. HA!

what are you guys up to today? i'm trying to remember to breathe because i fear every second that i might die of not knowing what's what with the fashionista call. GACK. you're gonna give me heart failure already, jj. srsly.

i wish that i could pull this off. this woman's studio inspires me like crazy. seriously. i am loving that color wall for my bathroom though. what? a little ap style is better than none!

i finally finished my fashionista round 3 project and sent it in. dude. fingers crossed because i really want this -- but i'm glad to have it done and sent. i don't know if it's what she's looking for but i LOVE the way it came out! i can't wait to share it with you guys!

now to scrap a bit for myself today! the kidlet and hubs have spent the day in the backyard. playing tag, cutting the grass, pulling weeds, playing with the dog, grilling it up. fun!

finally figuring out bloglines

my daughter has had the flu all week long and we've been home ... in bed ... on the sofa ... watching tv ... playing the wii ... gack! i feel stir crazy. i want to get outside. i want to scrap. there's so much to do!
