favorite concerts?
on sis, people were asking about your fave concerts of all time. here's a few of mine. tell me yours!
1. rock fest at texas motor speedway -- SO awesome. bush, no doubt, collective soul, matchbox twenty, jewel, the wallflowers, counting crows, paula cole...i'm sure there were others but this is all i remember. it was a 15 hour+ concert and took us several more hours after just to get out of the parking lot. insanity but SO MUCH FUN!
2. maroon 5 at the houston livestock show & rodeo -- man, do i love maroon 5 and adam levine is my secret boyfriend. shh!
3. harry connick jr. at jones hall in houston -- he is my other secret boyfriend. wait. i have lots of those. guess i should see someone about that, huh? i also saw harry on the late show w/david letterman and he is just crazy dreamy.
4. blink 182 at the roseland ballroom in nyc -- we were probably the oldest people in the mosh pit, that's for sure. heh. we were staying at the waldorf-astoria, got drunk at the concert and walked back to the hotel -- through the lobby of one of the swankiest hotels in nyc doing "happy hands" at everyone. classic.
5. john mayer at the houston livestock show & rodeo -- i love john. there is nothing better than singing along to an entire concert.
6. lenny kravitz at the verizon wireless theater in houston -- he has nipple rings and my gf and i were super close to the stage. enough said.
7. bette midler's "divine miss millennium tour" concert at the compaq center in houston -- i ADORE her and actually cried when she took the stage. SO girly.
8. bernadette peters at the grand 1894 opera house in galveston, tx -- another woman i absolutely adore. she's cute, brilliant and a broadway baby. i've seen her in two broadway shows, but watching her in concert was ahh-mah-zing!
9. adam sandler at cynthia woods mitchell pavillion in the woodlands, tx -- seeing adam sandler in concert was juvenile hilarity at its best.
there are so many more but these'll do for now...man, i miss going to concerts. we haven't been to many since the kiddo was born. we're going to hannah montana next month. does that count? hee.

Goodbye Joey...
It's the end of the Rat Pack. At 89, Joey Bishop is gone. Peter Lawford died in 1984, Sammy Davis Jr. in 1990, Dean Martin in 1995, and Sinatra in 1998. I watched Oceans Eleven the day I found out. Oh to have been at the Sands for one of their shows...

Goodnight Joey.
